In China, the official calendar (also the solar calendar) is the Gregorian calendar used for public and business affairs. Dating back to the Chinese Xia Dynasty (21st Century BC - 17th Century BC) and Shang Dynasty (17th Century BC - 1046 BC), Chinese calendar refers to any of the official and civil calendars greatly used in China.
